First SPU-100 Newbuilding Project Secured in China

SAL Navigation is proud to announce its first newbuilding project in China. The system will be delivered to COSCO SHIPPING (Qidong) Offshore Co., Ltd., one of the shipyards under the COSCO Group.

“Breaking into the newbuilding sector in China is a major step forward for us,” says Naoto Aida, Regional Manager, SAL North Asia. “The Chinese market holds enormous potential, and this delivery to one of the country’s most prominent offshore and shipbuilding groups reflects the trust being placed in our technology.”

The system will be installed on a newly built LPG tanker, marking a key milestone following earlier successes with retrofit projects in the region.

“I would like to extend my sincere thanks to the agents who worked tirelessly to make this possible, and to the shipyard for their confidence in SAL Navigation and the SAL SPU-100,” says Aida. “We see this as an important starting point, with further projects already taking shape.”
